Lobo Limited was found and incorporated in 1994 by WK Szeto, a drama practitioner since 80s and also an award-winning playwright, with the objective of doing some creative works in theatre and movie industry. In view of the blooming development of Internet in 1999, Lobo moved to I.T. industry with the participation of various I.T. talents. Later on, Lobo fine-tuned its corporate strategy to provide mobile services and applications to telecommunication sectors with the emphasis on Location Based Service. Most of the services we launched via various mobile network operators were lifestyle related from dining guide, movie guide, discount guide, etc… With no exception, all are worked around digital map to provide nearby and timely information to mobile phone users. Our innovative and focus are rewarded by two awards granted from renowned institutions: In 2005, Lobo’s location based service on Hutchison 3 was awarded jointly by HK Productivity Council and Wireless Technology Industry Association for the 1st Wireless Technology Excellence Awards. In 2006, by partnering with NEC and ESRI, Lobo was granted with the “3G Application Development Award” by OGCIO and Wireless Technology Industry Association for an innovative 3G application deployed in HK Cyberport.

In order to manage the vast content which were all location related, we developed a LBS Content Management System to manage and update various format of LBS content from text, photos, video, audio and maps. Our experience in LBS and know-how of mobile platform also equipped us to get a mobile tool development contract from SZ government. Recently, we also joined an alliance to participate in an environmental protection solution which Lobo is supposed to take up all the mobile related applications.

For I.T. solution, our clientele include Hutchison 3, PCCW, CSL, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Sony Ericsson, Lands Department, ESRI, etc… In 2008, Lobo worked with Baptist University to provide total solution to HK Tourism Board for a WIFI project exhibited during the Olympic period in Hong Kong. In 2009, Lobo helped HKTB to develop a cross-platform downloadable application for the WAP site.

Apart from mobile solution, Lobo also expanded her business to editorial services and multimedia production. Both sectors were set up in 2006 as opportunities aroused. Now, our editorial team has 2 full time staff in HK, 4 full time staff in SZ, and over 6 freelance translators in Beijing, Guangzhou, Australia, Japan and Taiwan. And we are capable to provide copywriting and translation services for website, video subtitle, printing material, etc… Our clientele in editorial include: Sanrio, Imagi, Médecins Sans Frontières, HKTB and lots of restaurants in HK.
